About Samantha (She/Her)

Samantha is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an endorsed Counselling Psychologist. She has a masters degree in Applied Psychology (Counselling). Samantha has 5 years experience working in private practice treating a range of presentations in children, adolescent and adults. She had a particular interest in working with anxiety, depression, neurodiversity and is passionate in empowering survivors of trauma. 

Samantha has experience with child, adolescent and adult psychosocial and educational assessments. She is trained in ADHD, Learning Disorders, Memory, Cognitive Functioning, Adaptive Functioning and psychological assessment. 

Samantha is warm and approachable in working with clients. She aims to work collaboratively with her clients, empowering them to take an active role in facilitating the change they are seeking in their lives. Samantha is passionate about building on a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients to collaboratively build an individual formulation and treatment plan.

In terms of treatment modalities, Samantha utilises an integration of  evidence-based strategies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy,  interpersonal therapy and dialectic behaviour informed therapy to specifically address her client’s needs. Samantha’s practice is trauma-informed, and she utilises the 3 phase approach in working with clients who have traumatic experiences (stabilisation, processing and integration).
